Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about therapy services at NeuroSpark Counseling.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session will focus on getting to know you and understanding your concerns. We'll discuss your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This session helps establish a foundation for our work together. For children's therapy, parents are welcome to join the initial session.

How many sessions will I need?

The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions), while others may prefer longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach accordingly.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, NeuroSpark Counseling accepts Aetna, United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UMR insurance plans. We also offer private pay options and can provide a Superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if needed.

Is everything I share confidential?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Information shared during sessions is kept private, with exceptions only in cases where there is risk of harm to yourself or others, suspicion of abuse of vulnerable populations, or if required by court order.
